About Me
My name is Emily Chilton. My interest include reading, art, singing, Spanish, and writing. I am in my third year of Spanish, almost fourth, and I want to keep learning. Someday, when I am at a university, I would love to study abroad in Mexico to enhance my studies. Maybe sometime in the future I would be able to adopt from Mexico. I hope to write a book someday and become an author. Right now, my favorite book series is Divergent by Veronica Roth, which has been included into some of my art pieces. To say a little more about me, here is a quote that inspires me.
"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." Maya Angelou
"Ask yourself what is really important and then have the wisdom and courage to build your life around your answer." Anonymous
About my Art
I have been drawing for several years now, but I didn't really recognize that talent until my junior year in high school. While in my drawing class, I began to take a large interest in pencil drawing. This self portrait here in the background was one of my first actual drawings with pencil in that class. After recognizing what I was capable of, I was asked to be in the AP Studio Art class at my school. This class has been a huge challenge, but it has paid off in the end. My artwork skills have grown tremendously. I have learned to push myself and show personal growth in my pieces. Being in this class has opened up opportunities for me and my art. I now feel completely ready to take on art in the future.
